About Us
Our Story
A Calvary Chapel outreach called Strawberry Mountain Christian Fellowship was planted in John Day in the fall of 1999 by Pastor Ira Hodge. In the winter of 2017, Jacob Lopez became the Lead Pastor and the fellowship was renamed Calvary Chapel John Day.
At Calvary Chapel, we believe in a balanced approach to ministry. We affirm the gifts of the Holy Spirit while remaining firmly anchored in the Word of God. We teach through the Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse.
